Kitarat syrjään
Edellisellä levyllä soitannollisessa pääosassa oli laulaja-kitaristi-pianisti Matthew Bellamyn hullu professori -henkinen kitarariffittely. Toisin on nyt. The Resistancen äänimaailmaa dominoivat syntetisaattorit, piano ja jousiorkesteri.

Välillä heittäydytään suoranaisen klassisen musiikin pariin, kuten levyn päättävän kolmiosaisen Exogenesis: Symphony -teoksen kohdalla käy. Onpa Bellamy kilkutellut levylle pätkän Chopiniakin!

The Resistancen heikoin kohta onkin levyn kestosta lähes 13 minuuttia haukkaava lopetusnumero. Science fiction -henkinen äänikollaasi ei lähde avaruudellisesta sanoitusteemastaan huolimatta missään vaiheessa kunnolla lentoon.

Ajoittain soitossa on edelleen tutusti toimivaa sykettä, kuten sinänsä yllätyksetön, mutta toimivasti poppaava aloitusraita Uprising sekä levyn energisimpiin raitoihin lukeutuvat Unnatural Selection ja MK Ultra todistavat. Kokonaisuutena The Resistance on kuitenkin liian vetelää ja laimeaa soppaa.

Alku oli lupaava, tota "tasapainon hakemista" lukuunottamatta. Noihan on kaikki kolme mainittua mahtavia levyjä, ja tälläkin hetkellä Showbiz ja Symmetry on mun lemppareita.
Mut hyvin kehuttiin Black Holesia ja ihan nappiin osu, BH is a veeeery good album. Mahtava. Että siltä osin hyvä arvio (:

Mut sit ku se alko puhuu Resistanssista nii... ei ihan. Osittaisia juttuja se kehukin, very good, mut sit taas toi arvion kokonaisuus tuntu jotenki dissaamiselta ja hyy ): Etenki ton Exogenesiksen kohdalla. Kyseessähän on loistava biisi jajaja ei siitä vaan voi sanoa noin. Heikoin kohta? Koko levyssä ei edes ole heikkoa kohtaa.
Okei, mun listalla The Resistance on viimeisenä Musen levyistä, mutta ei se sitä tarkota etteikö se olis hyvä. Sehän on mielettömän hyvä levy eikä ollenkaan heikkoa ja wtf, "liikaa teennäistä taidetta, liian vähän rokkaamista" ? Kidding me? Tossa levyssä ei oo yhtään mitään teennäistä, ja rokkaamistahan siitä kyllä löytyy. Että. Joo.

Okei, kaikki ei voi tykätä _edes_ Musesta, mikä on huomattu, muttaaa. Silti. En oikeen tykänny tosta arviosta D:
