Näin tylsyyden kunniaksi spotifyn playlististä kymmenen biisiä randomilla ja niiden esittämien bändien esittely. Ehkä joku lukee, jolla on äärimmäisen tylsää (:

1. I See Stars - Save The Cheerleader

"I See Stars is an American rock band from Warren, MI, who combines elements of pop and hardcore. Their debut album, 3D, was released April 14, 2009 on Sumerian Records. The album consists of catchy choruses, brutal breakdowns, crazy synth, and an exciting use of autotune. They have shared the stage with The Number 12 Looks Like You, The Devil Wears Prada, August Burns Red, A Skylit Drive, In Fear and Faith, Dance Gavin Dance, Attack Attack!, Emarosa, Chasing Victory, Alesana, Silverstein, and We Came As Romans, A Day To Remember, Parkway Drive, Madina Lake, The Word Alive, Our Last Night, Broadway."

2. Owl City - Panda Bear

"Owl City is a synthpop project of Adam Young. Formed early 2007 in Owatonna, Minnesota, United States. Owl City has reached the “Top Unsigned Artist” position on Myspace, having over 10 million total plays. Owl City has since been signed by Universal Republic, releasing Ocean Eyes on iTunes July 14, 2009, with the physical release following on July 28, 2009. His best known single is 2009’s “Fireflies”, which in October 2009 hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

3. Foals - Cassius

"Foals are a band from Oxford, England formed in 2005. Combining poly-rhythmic tapping guitars, pulsing analogue synth, vocal melodies and chopping drum-lines, Foals create organic agitated dance-pop. The band are signed with Transgressive Records in Europe and Sub Pop in the USA. A full length album—entitled Antidotes—was released on 24 March 2008 in the UK, and 8 April in the USA."

4. Paddock Park - Forgetting Alli Mae

"Paddock Park was formed in the summer of ’07, by Brian Calzini and Tom Denney of A Day To Remember, as a joke band that Tom wrote the music for and Brian did the vocals for; they put it up on Myspace, it started to get some hype and people wanted to see them play live. So Brian recruited two guitar players, a drummer (ex-drummer of A Day To Remember) and a bass player."

5. Apoptygma Berzerk - Shine On

"Apoptygma Berzerk is an ebm/futurepop/synthrock musical group from Norway. It has achieved moderate commercial success with a unique brand of gloomy, danceable gothic synthpop, winning awards and top-10 spots in Germany and Scandinavia. Apoptygma Berzerk (abbreviated to APB or Apop) has toured Europe, North America, and Israel with bands such as “VNV Nation” and “Icon of Coil”.

The band was formed by Stephan Groth and Jon Erik Martinsen in 1986. They recorded a few demos, including “Victims of Mutilation”. Jon Erik left the band shortly afterwards feeling uncomfortable with the direction of the band’s music."

6. The Classic Crime - Beginning [A Simple Seed]

"The Classic Crime is a Seattle-based Alternative Rock band. They released their Tooth & Nail debut album, Albatross, in 2006. It marked the fastest first-week sales for a new artist in the history of T&N. The band members are Matt MacDonald (vocals), Justin DuQue (guitar), Robert “Cheeze” Negrin (guitar), Alan Clark (bass), and Paul “Skip Erickson (drums)."

7. SR-71 - Right Now

"Formed in Baltimore, MD, United States in 1998, SR-71 has produced three major-label albums, two of which (Now You See Inside and Tomorrow) have been released in the States, and a third (Here We Go Again) released only in Japan.

After becoming instant Top 40 material with their driving hit PlayRight Now and the lesser-known PlayPolitically Correct on their first album, the band slowly shied from the limelight for its second album, part of the reason the third album was not released in the US.

In recent days lead singer Mitch Allan has pursued a solo career, reworking some SR-71 songs and creating some of his own. SR-71
is on hiatus, as of 2007."

8. Drop Dead, Gorgeous - The Show Must Go On

"Drop Dead, Gorgeous is a four-member post-hardcore band from Colorado, United States formed in 2005. They released their first EP entitled Be Mine, Valentine in January 2006, followed by their first full length album in May 2006, In Vogue. They could only tour for 3 months across the U.S. and through Canada a year due to the fact that their members hadn’t graduated high school yet."

9. Jeffree Star - Lollipop Luxury

"Jeffree Star (born Jeffrey Steininger, 15 November 1986) is an American model, fashion designer, make-up artist and singer-songwriter residing in the Los Angeles area. He is an Internet celebrity known for his popularity on MySpace as well as from his transgressive, genderfuck and gender-bending appearance and persona while calling himself “Queen of the Internet” and “CUNT: Queen of the Beautifuls” Star has leveraged his fame as an androgynous model and aesthetic talents to launch his own clothing line and forays into acting and DJing.

Star has released two EPs, Plastic Surgery Slumber Party ( Electronic only release, 2007) and Cupcakes Taste Like Violence (2008). This year (2009), Star released his debut full length album, Beauty Killer."

10. And Then There Were None - The Hospital

"Formed in 2003, And Then There Were None started as five best friends who shared a love for writing and recording music. With a relentless touring work ethic, and a DIY attitude, And Then There Were None built a solid fan base, and began garnering attention from the press and labels alike. It’s six years later, and ATTWN is still here, still making waves.

This past year was a busy one for ATTWN. After signing to Tooth & Nail, a line up change, the addition of new members, and a new sound, And Then There Were None is back and better than ever. Once known for boasting metal riffs and killer breakdowns, the band has been reinvented, mixing euro-dance beats with a punk-rock backbone. Frontman Matt Rhoades comments, “Eventually I ran out of ideas for writing metal music, and began to write what came more naturally. To me, dance music is positive, and still incredibly emotionally based. There are no rules or norms and this allowed me more creative freedom in the writing process. I finally feel as though ATTWN has found its own unique sound.”

What separates ATTWN from it’s peers is the passion and moral behind the music. Unafraid to bring ethics and a message back onto the scene, And Then There Were None has made it a mission to be heard."
