Turun Ruissalossa 3.-5. heinäkuuta järjestettävän festivaalin vetonauloiksi on saatu naamiometallistit Slipknot, keväällä uuden albumin julkaiseva tanskalainen Mew sekä raskaan musiikin kokoonpano Disturbed.

Muita ulkomaisia vieraita ovat Volbeat, Neurosis, The Sounds, Calexico, In Flames, !!!, The Gaslight Anthem, Gogol Bordello, Ladytron, The Living End, Mindless Self Indulgence, Pilgrimz sekä The Wildhearts.

Kotimaisista yhtyeistä Ruisrocksissa nähdään comebackin tekevä Tehosekoitin, Eppu Normaali sekä Amorphis, Apulanta, CMX, Egotrippi, Kotiteollisuus, Maija Vilkkumaa, Mokoma, PMMP ja Scandinavian Music Group.

Ohjelmisto tulee vielä täydentymään kevään mittaan.

Festivaalin kolmen päivän liput maksavat 105 euroa ja tulevat myyntiin Tikettiin, Lippupalveluun ja Ruisrockin nettisivuille huomenna 18. helmikuuta. Yhden ja kahden päivän liput tulevat myyntiin myöhemmin.

Suomen ennätys! 50 000 Metallica-lippua myytiin puolessa tunnissa. Metallican vetovoima ei ole vähentynyt.

maanantaiaamuna myyntiin tulleet Metallican Sonisphere -festivaalin liput myytiin loppuun puolessa tunnissa. Lippupalvelun nettisivun mukaan "tilaisuus on toistaiseksi loppuunvarattu".

Kyseessä on lipunmyynnin nopeusennätys. Porin Kirjurinluodolla 25. Heinäkuuta järjestettävään tapahtumaan oli myynnissä 50 000 lippua. Ne varattiin puolessa tunnissa!

Metallican lisäksi Porissa esiintyvät muun muassa Linkin Park, Mastodon ja Lamb Of God.
