"Jimmy’s steps halted. He looked at the payphone and shivered, glancing around quickly before pulling up the receiver and dropping in the coins.

As he did so, he realised he was thinking of his home number. He wanted to call his wife, tell her he was there, ask her how she was, how their pretty little girl was doing, were they safe, could he drop by. It tore his heart apart to know he couldn’t pick that number, and even if he had, nobody would answer. Not from that number, not anymore.
He didn’t know anything about his family. He didn’t exist anymore, not in their lives and the full truth was, nobody else’s either. Castiel had taken his body and separated it from his life. He was as good as dead but with none of death’s luxuries - there was no peace, no rest and no heaven for him. He was stuck with the angel, always somewhere deep under the surface, like a bear sleeping through a particularly long and violent winter."
