I just might have joined the Pirate Party. Let's make the idiotism stop, shall we?

Last Fragments

[These words would have been of otherworldly power if they'd been such.]

I want to tear these curtains - not to see through, but to shred them. Watch the textile as hands dig into its structure and pull and rip the fabric apart. Or maybe just to see through, nevertheless I know not what on the other side lies.

You need but touch with your fingers, and what lies empty within my ribs flows free.

[Today is the last day of your life so far.]

Less Obvious, More Oblivious
[and let's all get pissed at the system, shall we?]

Whenever you find that you are on the side of the majority, it is time
to reform.
-- Mark Twain

Hain't we got all the fools in town on our side? And hain't that a big
enough majority in any town?
-- Mark Twain

Its name is Public Opinion. It is held in reverence. It settles everything.
Some think it is the voice of God.
-- Mark Twain

F.S. Fitzgerald to Hemingway:
"Ernest, the rich are different from us."
Hemingway:
"Yes. They have more money."

It is often the case that the man who can't tell a lie thinks he is the best
judge of one.
-- Mark Twain

[Man, Mark Twain hated the system as much as we do.]
In Search of the Battle Spirit
[Hesitation is the friend of the brave, leaving them as stranded as the constantly hesitant.]

[Wanda the Fish:]
You will remember something that you should not have forgotten.

Courage is your greatest present need.

You'll wish that you had done some of the hard things when they were easier to do.

You don't become a failure until you're satisfied with being one.

There is a 20% chance of tomorrow.

Do nothing unless you must, and when you must act -- hesitate.

When one burns one's bridges, what a very nice fire it makes.
-- Dylan Thomas

[There's no way anyone will ever read these entries. If you do, drop a comment.]
[Hail to me - a poet - and allow me to lie to you]

The Poet

And I shall call myself an artist
And claim the world is manifested in the ink of my strokes

And claim superiority over the fable just living their lives without perspective

And claim I know better
And claim to be the only one to see

And claim I create what people always wanted this world to be like.

And claim to entertain those of particular intellect.

But I'm blind.
Canvas felt by hand.
Lies following the lines, pulled apart by the brush.

Each line rewritten just for pleasurable language;
The hand not divinely motivated creating perceived perfection.

O' truly a great fake it is.
I wish we could open our eyes.
While silently hoping we never do-

[And there I was on 11.04.2009]
[Pronto, with a head full of pasta sauce.]

Sometimes I wonder if I'm in my right mind. Then it passes off and I'm
as intelligent as ever.
-- Samuel Beckett, "Endgame"

It is true what you said: "I live like a hermit in my head."

A life as a partaker, or a victim, in a bizarre joke.

You're working under a slight handicap. You happen to be human.

I was gratified to be able to answer promptly, and I did. I said I didn't know.
-- Mark Twain

Lost Notes of My Book

Keep it short for pithy sake.

Many pages make a thick book.

Today is the last day of your life so far.

Today is the first day of the rest of the mess.

[And so the series begins. A few weeks without a connection has left me with a desktop full of notes; jots, narratives, quotes and single words of power. Before I disappear, I'll have these cleared. Randomness to follow, be advised.]
